The company was founded in 1975 under the name
SERVISA, located in a 500 m2 factory and mainly dedicated to manufacturing pieces by compression and transfer for the electric sector (boxes, terminals and connexion leads). In 1985 we pioneered in Spain the manufacturing of meter lids and bases in phenolic resin (bakelite) for
AEG.
In 1996 RESINAS EGARA was created, starting the manufacturing activities which
SERVISA is doing at present. |

We specialise in the manufacturing of thermostable or thermoenduring pieces, mainly in SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound). This material is largely a compound of polyester resin, mineral charges and strengthened by crystal fibre. This has the following main advantages over thermoplastics:
• Fire resistance (they don’t burn, melt or drip)
• Dimensional stability to temperature ( -40 +150ºC )
• Mass pigmentables
And over the metals:
• Corrosion resistance
• Lower equipment cost
• Weight reduction
Our main clients come from the electrical and automotive industries, but with our experience, quality and technology we can adapt to other fields. We can also manufacture pieces in other thermostable materials such as bakelite, melamine, urea etc.
